    Wagner Legal achieves first phase merger control clearance before the German Federal Cartel Office for Rockwell Collins' acquisition of ARINC together with Steptoe & Johnson

    Rockwell Collins, Inc., USA, a worldwide leading manufaturer of avioncs products, completed the acquisition of ARINC Incorated, USA, a worldwide leading provider of aviation communciation services, from The Carlyle Group for US$ 1.4 billion after merger control clearances from the US and German competition authorities.

    Rockwell Collins was advised by Steptoe & Johnson and The Carlyle Group/ARINC by Latham & Watkins on this transaction. Wagner Legal run the merger control process in Germany in cooperation with Steptoe & Johnson's Brussels based partner Yves Botteman. The transaction was cleared in first phase despite the size of the transaction, its competitive complexity and third-party interventions.

    Wagner Legal and Rospatt Osten Pross win landmark case in the area of cartel damage claims, vertical restraints of online trade and liabilities of CEOs - JUVE reports

    The 1st Competition Panel of the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court held on 13 November 2013 that Reuter GmbH, the leading German online trader of sanitary equipment, can claim damages of about EUR 1 million against Aloys F. Dornbracht GmbH & Co. KG, a leading supplier of sanitary fittings, as Aloys F. Dornbracht GmbH's criteria and sales prices for the distribution of its products illegally restricted online shops. The Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court also held that the responsible CEO, Mr Andreas Dornbracht, was also personally liable, as instigator or accessory, for the loss that this caused Reuter GmbH.
